I am Dr Drew Provan, a haematology consultant in London. I studied molecular biology then went on to medical school and qualified as a doctor. I chose haematology as a specialty because it has always been at the forefront of molecular medicine.
As well as lecturing internationally for many years I have published a large number of books on medicine, computing, public speaking, slide design and art (all available on Amazon if you're interested).
For years I illustrated my own books but now I illustrate chapters and peer-reviewed papers for external clients. Having professionally-drawn figures improves the readability of documents.
I love interacting with clients and helping them create something really special for their latest paper. The Zoom meetings I arrange gives us lots of time to work on the illustrations and achieve the perfect result for the client.
I give talks all the time and I attend many conferences. Most people's slides are pretty rough and make the experience of listening to the speaker a bit dull. I like to use simple slides with few words and great graphics. I help clients jazz up their slide decks to make them more fun and meaningful. I do not create corporate-style slides (always word heavy and boring). If you need help with slides please email me and I will see what we can do.
